CLUES – Knowledge in art, history, architecture, science or math could easily help you find your next stop in your quest for the ultimate prize. And you can get your clues in the most unexpected ways. Voicemail messages, cryptex cases, CD-ROMs and bank deposit boxes have all been used in past hunts.
LOCATION – cityHUNT‘s creative staff uses their expert knowledge of New York City and its countless landmarks when they build adventures; focusing on specific neighborhoods, parks and museums. Regardless of your starting point, cityHUNT will leave no stone unturned in the quest to build the most exotic scavenger hunt NYC adventure possible.
DIGITAL CAMERA TASKS – At the beginning of every cityHUNT event, digital cameras are given to each team, with a list of images that must be captured to obtain points. This unexpected teambuilding activity can be as simple as, “Take a photo of your team in front of Broadway marquee.” While others will stimulate creative, outside the box thinking, such as, “Take a photo of your entire team underwater” or even, “Take a photo of someone on your team behind bars.” While breaking the law or actually being arrested would obviously disqualify your team from the hunt, many people have found unique ways to capture these images, and have been awarded bonus points for their creativity! Following the event, cityHUNT will upload your photos to a private virtual photo album where all participants will be able to view their group and fellow groups’ photos for a good laugh for years to come.
GUIDED CHALLENGES – After solving each clue and discovering the secret locations throughout your NYC scavenger hunt, team members will meet cityHUNT staff members to complete a challenge. Each team member must play an active role in these challenges to promote team building within the group.
GUIDES AND HELPLINE – cityHUNT will provide at least two trained guides to facilitate your scavenger hunt in NYC and assist teams throughout the event. There will also be a helpline set up to aid any lost or confused teams.
AWARDS CEREMONY AND MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION – At the end of the hunt, all teams will meet at a final destination for a wrap-party where they celebrate their adventure and discuss solving strategies. Digital photos are shared, creativity revealed and laughter will spread like wildfire.
