 Mardi Gras Party Themed Pub Crawl Photo Hunt WHERE: Hell’s Kitchen Our Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Photo Scavenger Hunt is going to be an experience you will talk about for years to come! Dress up in your best Mardi Gras Carnival clothes, and team up with your friends to have the time of your life! Unlike typical pub crawls, on a cityHUNT pub crawl you won’t know what bars you will be visiting until you figure out the clues along the way. On this pub-crawl you will adventure through local bars and attractions in NYC in order to solve clues and earn points. In order to find each bar, your team must solve a series of mind-bending riddles, complete an array of humorous tasks and record it all with the digital cameras that we provide. The team that earns the most points is crowned the winner! This incredible Pub Crawl Hunt includes great hub bars where you will spend at least 45 minutes drinking and hanging out with other cool people like yourself. The entire hunt lasts 4 hours, including at least 5 bars, as well as time to relax and CELEBRATE with your team and the other hunters. There are fantastic drink specials for all cityHUNT participants. At the “half-time” bar, the WINNING TEAM of round one gets a free pitcher of beer. At the end of the hunt, we determine the scores for the entire hunt and the winning team for the total hunt gets a free pitcher of beer, special cityHUNT honors, and bragging rights!!

New York City consists of so many unique neighborhoods within one city. Each neighborhood stands alone, has it’s own history and culture, has it’s own energy, and is full of surprises.

We promise that you and your friends will have a blast on any of our Public Urban Adventures. They are specially crafted to stimulate, educate, challenge and entertain all the participants. You can bring your own team, or we can help choose a team for you. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Our public adventure hunts take place in different New York City neighborhoods all throughout the year. The information below can give you an overview of the typical public hunt, but every hunt is a little different depending on the neighborhood and season.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON A cityHUNT PUBLIC HUNT
Everyone will meet at the chosen destination usually a restaurant or bar of some kind. We will have an orientation and registration while people can get drinks and introduce themselves. We put people into teams of 4-6 people with a team captain. You can either come with a team in place or be added to a team upon arrival. Once the teams are decided, we give each team an envelope with the rules, challenges, and clues to solve. Be prepared to go on about a 2 1/2 hour adventure (unless it’s a Pub Crawl hunt, which will be closer to 4 hours in length)!
CLUES – Knowledge in art, history, architecture, science or math could easily help you find your next stop in your quest for the ultimate prize. And you can get your clues in the most unexpected ways. Voicemail messages, cryptex cases, CD-ROMs and bank deposit boxes have all been used in past hunts.

DIGITAL CAMERA TASKS – Some tasks are simple: Take a photo of your team in front of the Empire State Building- while others are not. Teams may be asked “Take a photo of your entire team underwater” or even “Take a photo of someone on your team being arrested”. While actually breaking the law or actually being arrested is not permitted and would obviously disqualify your team from the hunt, many people have found creative ways to capture these images, and have been awarded extra points at the end of the hunt for their out-of-the-box thinking.
CHALLENGES – Don’t be surprised if you are directed to visit a cityHUNT staff member at a specific location during the hunt in order to complete a Challenge. For most Challenges, each team member must play an active role in its completion.
GUIDES AND HELPLINE – cityHUNT will provide at least two trained staff members or “guides” to facilitate the Guided Challenges and to assist teams throughout the event. There will also be a phone line set up to help any lost or confused teams. At the end of the hunt all teams meet at a final destination for a wrap party where they celebrate their adventures and discuss clue-solving secrets. The wrap party almost always consists of happy hour prices, as well as drink specials for cityHunt participants.
